The new year’s approach always brings a slew of resolutions, and I am no exception to the rule. I would like to take some time to reflect on the things I have accomplished as a writer this year and the things I hope to accomplish next year.
Why is it easier for me to write more consistently during NaNoWriMo than any other time of the year? This is a question I ask myself very frequently.
The weather is cold; Christmas songs suffuse the radio. We are halfway through December and NaNoWriMo is a few weeks behind us. If you’re like me, as a result of that annual November typing frenzy, you have a pretty rough first novel draft waiting for you to attack it.
There is one simple magic trick to being a writer: Write.
