I didn’t do my usual weekly updates in April because I was trying to do the A to Z Challenge and Camp NaNoWriMo. April ended up being my busiest month yet (hence the coffee beans in the header, as I’m sure I’ve consumed gargantuan quantities) and of course, since I bit off more than I could chew,… Continue reading Update: All of April
The following article, written by me, was originally posted at FreshU.io under the same title on July 6th, 2016. I am reposting it now as a “wildcard” post because fall registration is coming up soon for many students, and I figured it would be helpful for those who haven’t seen it before. Minor updates and… Continue reading MyEdu.com: A Must-Have College Tool
For me and my fellow college students, registration is just around the corner. (For my friends at UNCW, it begins April 4th!) I know that registration is a stressful time for many students, so in order to (hopefully) combat that, I’ve put together a checklist for registration.

My roommate and I have been putting off taking out the trash for at least a week (which, considering that our trash can is tiny, is a bad thing). For days we have been precariously perching our wrappers, tissues, and discarded flyers on top of the haphazard pile, like playing Jenga with trash–trying desperately to… Continue reading Ode to Joy From A Trash Can
I wrote the following article under the title “Five Playlists for Maximum Productivity,” and it was posted at The Odyssey Online. However, the original idea that I conceived revolved around music for writers, rather than music for productivity in general. But this is still awesome music that’s great for writing, so I decided it was… Continue reading Music for Writers (“Five Playlists for Maximum Productivity”)
“Submission Spots for Students” is a blog series dedicated to posting, on a bi-weekly basis, a collection of publishing opportunities specifically for high school and college students. These opportunities may be targeted specifically towards students or they may be open to all ages; they may be contests, magazines, anthologies, etc. accepting novels, short prose, poetry,… Continue reading Submission Spots for Students: College Lit Mag Edition
